Serco supports the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) in France through the delivery of critical operational, engineering, and security services for the EU’s flagship space programmes, including Galileo. Working across key EUSPA sites, Serco contributes to the reliability, security, and performance of Europe’s satellite navigation and space infrastructure, helping to provide essential services to citizens, businesses, and public authorities across Europe.

On behalf of our client, EUSPA, we are looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to support activities at our client’s premises in Toulouse, France. The successful candidate will work approximately 25% on-site at EUSPA premises, with the remaining time based at the Serco office in Toulouse. We welcome applications from both full-time employees (offered on a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension) and consultants. Responsibilities: 
  • Support to Anomaly and Non-Compliance Management
  • Provide secretariat support to EUSPA’s Anomaly Review Boards (ARBs) and Service Requirements Non-Compliance Management Boards.
  • Escalate operational anomalies and non-compliances that may impact EUSPA’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and control closure plans and recovery actions, ensuring proper flow-down to relevant projects.
  • Conduct trend analysis of anomalies and non-compliances across system segments.
  • Ensure timely resolution of AR/NCR actions in accordance with contractual KPIs.
  • Assist in software product assurance activities, particularly in support of safety and certification processes.
  • Support the tailoring and implementation of Product Assurance and Safety baselines based on applicable standards and requirements.

  • Follow up on certification audit findings to ensure timely and complete closure.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Assurance, Quality, Safety, Systems Engineering, or related fields within the space/aerospace industry.
  • Experience with Galileo, EGNOS, GNSS, or other satellite navigation programmes.
  • Proven experience in anomaly management, non-compliance handling, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Knowledge of Product Assurance, Safety, Quality Management, and applicable space standards (e.g., ECSS or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting audits, reviews, certification activities, and closure of findings.
  • Understanding of software assurance processes for safety- or mission-critical systems.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; French is considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience with EUSPA, ESA or major space contractors is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain EU security clearance.
  • Relevant University degree in engineering, aerospace, software, telecommunications, or related disciplines.
 
Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration.
